Episode 22 Speculation
Episode 22 will most probably take us to the third round of the Shaman Fight. We have already seen X-laws in the tournament, so I am guessing that it will be Hao’s turn next.
Jeanne’s killing show gave Yoh a reality check on how inferior he is compared to his opponents. Thus, he will be aiming for a massive power-up to narrow down the difference between them.

Episode 21 Recap
Episode 21 shocks us by revealing that Lyserg hasn’t left the Shaman Fight, and instead, he joined the X-laws. He shows up in the ring with Jeanne, the X-laws leader, and Marco by his side.
As you can see, the team is too strong for anyone to handle, especially for those weak Egyptian Shamans. So, Jeanne asks Lyserg to defeat the three opponents all by themselves. It’s evident that Jeanne is trying to test Lyserg’s resolve for the organization.
However, Lyserg trembles just when he was about to kill his opponents. This angers Jeanne, and she steps into the fighting arena and punishes Lyserg for not taking the fight seriously.
Then she frees herself from the Iron Maiden and shows herself for the very first time. Everyone gets shocked to see a cute girl being the one behind the infamous title, Iron Maiden.
She explains that staying in the Iron maiden is a way of punishing herself for the crimes committed by the human race. She endures the pain that keeps reminding her how messed up the world has become.
She kills the opponents in a way that is too brutal to explain, in case my family is reading the article. She calls this massacre an attempt to bring back order and justice to the human world, and she won’t stop till she becomes the Shaman King.
Even the Patch Officiants address the fact that Jeanne has become a God-level Shaman and will most likely be the next Shaman King. Can Yoh stop her before it’s too late? We have to wait for the next episodes to find that out.

Shaman King is a manga written and illustrated by Hiroyuki Takei. It began serialization in Weekly Shonen Jump from June 30, 1998.
