Darling in The Franxx Manga Goes Digital! Seven Seas Announces New Titles

Seven Seas Entertainment is the top independent manga publisher in North America. Despite having an extensive collection of titles already, they have decided to up their game with their recent license acquisitions.

From the most popular isekai genre to old classics like Saint Seiya, Seven Seas have got it all. With their recent announcements about The Masterful Cat is Depressed Again Today and Disciple of Lich, they have introduced some unique titles to their already diverse catalog. 

Now, they have bagged some more well-known titles to catch our attention.

Seven Seas Entertainment has announced that it has licensed Kentaro Yabuki’s manga adaptation of DARLING in the FRANXX anime. They will release the manga in omnibus volumes in both digital and print formats.

The first of the 2-in-1 omnibus volume will be released in March 2022 under their mature label Ghost Ship.

The story takes place in a post-apocalyptic story where humans are pushed to the brink of extinction by a new species called klaxosaurs. The series rose to fame after the release of the anime in 2018.

They have also announced licenses for:

  • My Deer Friend Nokotan
  • The Weakest Contestant in All Space and Time
  •  Monologue Woven For You
  • Correspondence from the End of the Universe
  • It’s Just Not My Night: Tale of a Fallen Vampire Queen

All of these will be released in both digital and physical formats during the first half of 2022, with Monologue For You releasing its first volume in full color.

From the start of this year, Seven Seas is making all the right moves. With much more manga deciding to go digital in Japan recently, we can only hope to get more titles to read next year.
