The sequel anime kicked off on television more than a month ago, and it hasn’t aired on the streaming platforms yet, leading to disappointment among the fans. However, a recently released trailer will put your mind at ease.
Netflix announced that it will air ‘The Seven Deadly Sins: Four Knights’ of the Apocalypse on January 31. The anime premiered on television on October 8 and is set to run for half a year without breaks.
The trailer for ‘The Seven Deadly Sins: Four Knights of the Apocalypse’ features the story of our new protagonist, Percival. He is prophesied to bring the world to an end.
Percival’s grandfather is killed by his father, which throws his soul into chaos. However, his grandfather’s dying words inspire him to begin a journey to rescue the weak. The trailer introduces the new friends he finds, and together, they go on a new and exciting adventure.
The spinoff manga has recently ended its first part and is on a one-week hiatus before it continues with the second part on November 22.
Maki Odaira (Pokémon Journeys: The Series) directs the anime at Telecom Animation Film. The group Little Glee Monster performs the opening theme song “Up to Me!” while the group Moonchild performs the ending theme song “Friends Are For.”
Sho Komura is playing the role of Percival in this upcoming anime. All the voice cast members working on this anime are new and haven’t worked in other series.
So, the anime has a novel feel and doesn’t feel like a replay of stereotypical anime characters. The anime is also better compared to the original. While the setting is similar, the story and the adventures are new.
All the characters are also different from the original, which adds to the excitement. If you loved the world of Seven Deadly Sins, you are bound to love this spinoff. Give it a try when it hits Netflix in January.
