Seven Deadly Sins: Cursed By Light’s New PV Teases New Antagonist Duo!

The anime for Seven Deadly Sins might have ended, but that is not the last of it we will see in the animated format. Seven Deadly Sins: Cursed By Light film brings back the ragtag team for one last adventure.

The only hope fans had to see Seven Deadly Sins back in action in anime form was through the series’ sequel. It is a long time before that gets adapted, and thus the author decided to pen down an original story for a film.

After the defeat of the Demon King, who would be strong enough to mess with the Seven Deadly Sins? We now have the answer.

The official Twitter account for the Seven Deadly Sins franchise has released a PV for the movie Seven Deadly Sins: Cursed By Light. The film is set to release on 2nd July, 2021 in Japanese theaters.

The PV shows us the first glimpses of antagonists of the movie; Dahlia, the second fairy king, and Dabuzu, a master craftsmen giant. After that, we get to see all the sins in action, including King’s version of Ark.

We also get a glimpse of the final battle where Meliodas teams Zeldris in their assault modes.

“Onward to the Light” by Porno Graffiti is the original theme for the film that is featured in the trailer.

Seven Deadly Sins franchise’s first movie had not been received well, which resulted in A1 Pictures dropping the anime. This one might be a little different, considering the author’s involvement in the project and the timing of the release.

About The Seven Deadly Sins

 

The Seven Deadly Sins is a Japanese fantasy manga series written and illustrated by Nakaba Suzuki. It was serialized in Kodansha’s Weekly Shōnen Magazine from October 2012 to March 2020, with the chapters collected into forty-one tankōbon volumes.

Elizabeth Liones, princess of Liones Kingdom, embarks upon a journey to find the most vicious criminals Seven Deadly Sins (Nanatsu no Taizai). They are Meliodas(Dragon’ sin of Wrath), Ban (Fox’ sin of Greed), Dianne (Serpent’s sin of Envy), Merlin (Boar’s sin of Gluttony), Escanor (Lion’ sin of Pride), Gowther (Goat’s sin of Lust) and King (Grizzly’ sin of Sloth).

Ten years ago, all the sins were banished from the Kingdom after they were wrongly framed for the murder of Great Holy Knight, Zaratars. Now, the Kingdom is about to fall in the hands of the corrupt Holy Knights, and Elizabeth must find the Sins and their leader Meliodas to save the Kingdom.
