In last week’s episode, Dorothy’s attempts to get Leanne out of the house become more desperate. She starts to lose sleep and goes through Leanne’s things, documenting what she finds so she can prepare a case for Leanne to be committed. Leanne and Julian continue sleeping together which only amplifies Dorothy’s anger with the situation. Dorothy believes she’s finally making headway when a doctor’s visit set up by her father happens, only to discover that she’s been stabbed in the back.

Dorothy continues to unravel further as her pleas for help and support regarding Leanne have constantly been ignored. She believed that her father might actually help her find a solution to get Leanne out of the house. On the flip side, her father sent in a psychiatrist to observe Dorothy instead, who diagnosed her to be an unfit mother with a paranoid obsession. Leanne reassures the doctor and Frank that it’s best for Dorothy’s recovery that she stay home with Jericho. Dorothy is now stuck in a situation where she is not only fearing for her and her baby’s life but also being forcefully medicated. Will Dorothy find a way out?

Servant Season 3 Episode 9 Recap
The Turner household is still shocked from having witnessed Isabelle’s demise on live television. Dorothy later asks her father if they can continue the conversation they were having about her ‘nanny situation.’ Things are still tense between Dorothy and Sean as she rejects the breakfast he prepares for her and goes for cereal instead, which was an unfortunate choice because the cereal box was ridden with termites.
Dorothy keeps a watchful eye over Leanne through all the security cameras in the house. As an added measure, she places a baby monitor transmitter in the dollhouse in Leanne’s room. She proceeds to rifle through Leanne’s things and takes photos of the sketches in Leanne’s journal and Bible. Later that day, Dorothy gifts Leanne a backless dress and discovers the scars on her back from self-punishment from when she was back in the cult. Leanne reassures her that she doesn’t hurt herself anymore as she follows her own rules now.
Dorothy takes a selfie with Leanne, but her real intention was to get documentation of her scars as she is preparing her case to have Leanne committed for being ‘clinically insane.’ She gets in touch with her father and asks him to set up an appointment with his doctor friend who could sign the petition once he observes Leanne. She then suggests group therapy to Leanne, who’s initially hesitant but eventually agrees.
Dorothy faces the ultimate betrayal when she’s told that her father sent in the psychiatrist to assess her and not Leanne, further reinforcing her belief that everyone seems to be against her.
