Seiyū Radio no Ura Omote Light Novel Series to Get TV Anime

The official Twitter account for Kо̄ Nogatsu’s light novel, Seiyū Radio no Ura Omote confirmed that the series is getting a television anime adaptation. The announcement was made during a livestream to promote the release of the eighth volume of the series, which will be released on January 7, 2023.

The anime stars Miku Ito as Yasumi Utatane/Yumiko Satō, and Moe Toyota as Yūhi Yūgure/Chika Watanabe, the two protagonists of the series. The two actors previously voiced these characters for the promotional video of the light novel series in 2020.

The story follows Yūhi and Yasumi, who are voice actresses that attend the same high school. The two girls host a radio program together but have a lot of differences. They have incompatible personalities and fight when they are not on air.

They are diametrically opposed in appearance and personality, and they get into fights when they are not on air. While Yasumi is really loud and eccentric, Yuhi is quiet and reserved. This leads to clashes between the co-hosts, who become strongly aware of each other as rivals.

Nogatsu and Sabamizore first launched the novel series in February 2020. The seventh volume shipped on June 10, and the eighth volume will ship on January 7.

Umemi Makimoto launched the manga adaptation of the novels in Kadokawa’s Dengeki Maoh magazine in March 2020. The seventh volume shipped on June 10, and the eighth volume will ship on January 7.

The author Nogatsu won the Grand Prize at the 26th Dengeki Novel Prize in 2019.
