Science Saru and MBS Collaborate for a Short Anime Project ‘Daisakusen’

It is always exciting when Science Saru announces something new. After all, they are the studio behind amazing productions like ‘Devilman Crybaby,’ ‘Heike Story,’ and ‘Eizouken.’ 

The animation studio is at it again, crafting superb series with exceptional animation. This time, however, they are undertaking a distinctive venture, creating a concise anime that can captivate viewers in a brief span of time.

Television channel MBS and anime studio Science SARU are collaborating to produce four 90-second short anime under the “Science SARU x MBS Original Short Anime Daisakusen!” project. The anime will air on Fridays starting March 1, 2024.

They also revealed screenshots from three of the four works.

One of the pictures depicts a young girl strolling happily with a small, pixie-like creature. The second image showcases an astronaut, whose helmet reflects an adorable extraterrestrial being.

The cast for the anime is yet to be revealed, but the franchise has announced the staff. Surprisingly, four different directors will take on the four short episodes.

At the moment, there is no information about the plot of the upcoming short original anime. We’ll have to wait and see if they release a trailer soon. However, considering the unique concept and the renowned production companies involved, it’s definitely worth checking out.
