Chapter 38 is more concise compared to most of the chapters we have seen so far. It teased the beginning of the next arc of the series, where the criminals hired by Slur will go against Japan’s best assassins.
It starts with Wutang leaving Lu in the hands of Sakamoto to investigate Slur and his motives thoroughly. He suspects that these four prison break criminals are somehow connected with Slur.
On the other hand, team Sakamoto arrives at the DVD shop to fetch information about those infamous criminals. They take all the DVDs they can find and play them one after the other in the hall.
Meanwhile, the four death row inmates are killing assassins one after another, according to the list they are provided with. Most of them are taken down quite easily without getting the slightest chance to retaliate.
Thus, sooner or later, they will be coming for Sakamoto since he is on the list too. Not only that, Japan’s top-rated assassins are already aware of their presence and are quite confident to deal with them smoothly.
