In Chapter 37, Sakamoto offers Wutang a full-time job at his convenience store, and in return, asks him to tell everything he knows about this mysterious figure known as X.
Wutang confirms that X is unquestionably behind the huge bounty on Sakamoto’s head. He further asks Wutang about X’s real identity and location, but it seems Triad’s intelligence knew nothing about X’s personal details.
Still, the conversation isn’t a complete waste of time. Wutang narrates a recent incident where four criminals died at a maximum-security prison in South Asia, and their faces were completely destroyed.
Wutang suspects that these criminals faked their deaths to break free from the prison. Not only that, a rash of unusual corpses have been found in Japan, each of them bearing the signature wounds of these four criminals.
In the next panel, we get to see these four prisoners waiting for someone in a cafe. They are busy quarreling with each other when a creepy person wearing a stuffed deer on his head shows up.
He gives them a list of people who pose a threat to his organization and hires them to kill the listed names before this month’s end. As you can expect, Sakamoto’s name is also there.
Should Sakamoto be more careful since he is going to get targeted by international criminals? Or are these criminals nothing but small fries before the legendary hitman? We have to wait for the next episode to find that out.
