2. Recap of Chapter 219 of Sakamoto Days
The latest chapter of Sakamoto Days started with Kumanomi declaring that she’d chase after Shin. Sakamoto intercepted her when she tried to walk out. At that point, Gozu told her to deal with Sakamoto, and his group would go out to exterminate Shin. Sakamoto then used the switch on Kumanomi’s glove to attack Gozu and the others.
Gozu was annoyed that Kumanomi let her guard down around Sakamoto, but was also interested to see that Sakamoto’s hand was shaking. He realised that the man couldn’t fight anymore, and told him that he was too weak to stand on a battlefield. Sakamoto told him that he didn’t choose his battles based on others’ strengths.
Sakamoto then rushed to get in a van outside the aquarium, and he used this to run over Gozu, but his ride didn’t last long as Tanabata swiftly came in and destroyed the van. Sakamoto was finally cornered at this point. X told Sakamoto that Rion would be sad to see Sakamoto’s death, to which Sakamoto replied by saying that X was just using his delusion to justify murder, and that X himself had murdered Rion, so he had no right to speak of her.
X was enraged by these words, and it was clearly visible on his face. He then used the killing pathway technique to stab Sakamoto squarely in the chest, and said that his using the technique was proof enough that Rion lived within him. Sakamoto then smiled and said the very fact that Sakamoto lived enough to say his last words meant that the Rion within X was a fake.
3. Speculation for Chapter 220 of Sakamoto Days
The latest chapter ended with the horrible scene of Sakamoto getting stabbed and collapsing. Since Sakamoto said “last words” in this chapter, we can assume that Sakamoto knew he’d die from that attack, so there may be no coming back from this reality.
However, since Shin still hasn’t returned with his allies to save Sakamoto, it is possible that Shin’s entry in the upcoming chapter may bring some miracle that could potentially save Sakamoto. The possibilities of this are low, so it is safe to assume that Sakamoto had died from X’s last attack.
