‘Sacrificial Princess & the King of Beasts’ can be summarized as the anime version of ‘Beauty and the Beast.’ Despite adding a demon kingdom and a queer girl, the overall story doesn’t shift all that much.
As add-ons, you get some hidden plots to kill the beast king, Leonhart, and some mystic powers running amok.
The ‘Sacrificial Princess & the King of Beasts’ anime will be released in 2023. A confirmed release date isn’t out yet, but you can check out the latest trailer, which shows Leonhart in action.

The video shows Sariphi, the girl who was sacrificed to the King of Beasts. Soon, she will discover the beast’s secret and become his queen. The decision is not taken lightly by Leonhart’s followers, and a rebellion is brewing under the surface.
Corruption is on the rise, and only the feared Beast King can stop it. Can Sariphi save his life as well as his secrets?
A new visual was also revealed for the ‘Sacrificial Princess & the King of Beasts’ anime, and it shows Leonhart and his commanders along with Sariphi. The main characters are standing against the backdrop of the holy tree of the demon country.

‘Sacrificial Princess & the King of Beasts’ might not be a fully original watch, but it’s perfect for those who love some fantasy world drama. Leonhart’s secret and Sariphi’s callousness might together give it a different flavor.
About Sacrificial Princess and the King of Beasts
Sacrificial Princess and the King of Beasts (Niehime to Kemono no Ō) is a manga series by Yu Tomofuji. The manga started serialization in the Hana to Yume magazine in 2015 and ended in 2020. An anime adaptation will be released in April 2023.
A spinoff series, titled “The White Rabbit and the Beast Prince” has also begun its serialization since August 2022.
The series shows a young girl who is sent to the king of beasts as a sacrifice. Instead of killing her, the king is taken by her and keeps her as a consort.
