Episode 12 of Sabikui Bisco begins with Bisco waking up from within the Tetsujin’s body. He protects Milo and attacks the Tetsujin right away. He picks up his goggles from Milo, who probably still can’t tell if he is imagining this or not.
Bisco is shooting arrows at the Tetsujin, and all of them sprout the rust eater mushrooms. Bisco feels so powerful that he can’t even control it.
The Tetsujin’s body starts swelling up in response, and Tirol points out that it’s a sign that the Tetsujin is about to self-destruct. Will Japan be wiped out again?

Episode 13 Speculations
There haven’t been any talks of Sabikui Bisco getting renewed for a second season by Studio OZ. There is still a good portion of the light novel that the audience hasn’t seen. That could make for a great second season.
It turns out Milo was not hallucinating Bisco, and it was all real. Bisco came back to life, but there’s one thing we’re all upset about, and that is the Bisco-Milo ship. Pawoo kissed him, and Milo, who was saying “I love you” repeatedly to Bisco, just said, “why don’t you marry her?”.

Episode 12 Recap
In the beginning, we see Bisco’s body covered in rust, still inside the Tetsujin. Somehow he is woken up and sees Milo lying on the concrete wall. Bisco grabs his goggles and says he heard Milo from the other side.
Milo hugs Bisco, but his body burns Milo. Bisco’s arm is glowing, and as he shoots the Tetsujin with his arrows, they sprout the rare rust-eater mushrooms on the Tetsujin, making it scream in pain.
Pawoo notices that the rust eater is in its complete form. Bisco sees he can’t control his power. The Tetsujin’s body has swelled up, and Tirol informs them that the Tetsujin will explode.
Such an explosion would wipe out populations, just like what happened in Tokyo all those years ago. Bisco says he’ll shoot it down with his arrows, but Tirol says it might trigger the explosion. What they need to do is shoot the pilot and not the body.
The armor on the Tetsujin’s head needs to be taken apart for that to happen, and Pawoo says she’ll do it. As she leaves, Pawoo asks Bisco why he can’t say anything nice to her even though she’s walking towards her death.
Bisco awkwardly tells her that he’ll give her anything she asks for if she comes back alive. Pawoo grabs him by the neck and kisses him before attacking the Tetsujin. She splits the armor open and reveals the body of Kurokawa fused into the Tetsujin.
Bisco shoots him with his arrows which sprout mushrooms. The mushrooms crush him and kill the Tetsujin. Milo and Bisco are later seen having a moment where Milo hugs Bisco and asks him not to leave Milo behind.
In the end, Tirol flees with a bunch of rust eater mushrooms. They go back to Imihama, where Pawoo becomes the governor, and now there’s a wanted poster for Milo too.
Bisco is once again seen in disguise, but this time Milo is with him under a similar disguise at the Gunma gate. Together they go off on another adventure.

Rust-Eater Bisco is a light novel series by Shinji Cobkubo. It ran from 2018 to 2020. Its manga adaptation was released in the Manga Up! website from 2019 to 2020.
The story takes place in a world where a rust wind sweeps over landscapes and turns everything it comes into contact with to rust. Bisco, our protagonist, is on a journey to find a mysterious mushroom that can eat away the rust.
On his way, he meets Miro, who is also interested in this cure, and both of them go on a crazy adventure together.
