Ryan Reynolds’ highly publicized sci-fi movie The Adam Project is enjoying a great run on Netflix. To celebrate the many number ones it has achieved, the lead actor took to his Twitter and shared a new illustrated poster for the movie.
The illustration, created by Ten 30 Studios’ Xavier Camacho and James Goodridge, has all key details from the movie—other than the actors, the car, the home, the forest area, a flying platform that serves as a ladder to the spaceship, and other things. The poster makes the characters look way more charming and aesthetically pleasing.
Reynolds shared the poster and urged fans to watch the movie in his tweet.
The Adam Project opened to an explosive premiere week. According to Deadline, the movie is currently the third movie with the best debut week on Netflix. It recorded an impressive 92.4 million hours during the first-week tracking, March 13.
The best debut on Netflix crown goes to Red Notice which clocked in 148 million hours and Don’t Look Up, which clocked 111 million hours.
Moreover, the success doesn’t stop only at Netflix’s viewership popularity. Reynolds’ The Adam Project is also receiving mostly positive reviews from critics.
The Guardian’s Wendy Ide gave it a four-star rating calling the movie “a big-hearted family time-travel adventure.” It also has a 68% critic rating on Rotten Tomatoes—which is a big deal for a movie with a rather cliched adventure story.
After back-to-back movies, Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard, Red Notice, and Free Guy, Reynolds has not left the screen for long. While the previous movies didn’t fare that well with the critics, The Adam Project does turn the tables slightly.
Meanwhile, what’s more interesting is that The Adam Project director Shawn Levy will be directing Reynolds’ Deadpool 3. There could never be too much of Ryan Reynolds, and The Adam Project is proof of it.
