Delinquent-themed manga and anime have been on the rise lately, and most of us would love to see a romcom in this concept. Worry not, as Yuuji Nakamura has got you covered with his delinquent-filled romcom, Rokudou no Onna-tachi.
This romcom might confuse you on most occasions as it also incorporates elements like magic, but it is a wholesome story overall.
Since it is just a manga, it’s obvious that anime fans are yet to witness this story. Fortunately, that day doesn’t look very distant, either.
Leaks on the internet have claimed that Yuuji Nakamura’s manga series, Rokudou no Onna-tachi, will receive a TV anime in April 2023. As an official source has yet to confirm it, we cannot say if the information is accurate.
The leak also revealed that studio Satelight would handle the production, though the company itself has not confirmed it.
The story follows a weak and cowardly protagonist, Tousuke Rokudou, a first-year at Amori High, a school filled with delinquents. Tousuke wishes for a peaceful school life with his friends Masaru and Kouta, but their bullies don’t let them have it.
One day, Tousuke receives a mysterious package from his long-deceased grandfather and opens it to find a priest’s uniform and scroll inside it. The scroll has been passed down in Tousuke’s family since the Heian period and holds a technique to ward off evil spirits.
Tousuke and his friends then use the scroll to achieve a quiet and peaceful school life but get stuck in a whole new problem because of it. Instead of preventing them from bullies, the spell attracts ‘bad girls’ or the school’s female delinquents towards Tousuke.
Although it’s not quite what the trio wanted, it is still better than getting tormented by bullies daily. Tousuke later tries to help the girls get on the right path and solve the problems that pushed them into delinquent life.
I hope the franchise soon releases an official statement regarding the anime.
