In last week’s episode, Percival’s spell kills every firstborn at Riverdale with the exception of baby Anthony and Kevin. With Heather’s help, the survivors reach out to Sabrina Spellman, a known necromancy practicing witch, to aid them in a resurrection spell.
Meanwhile, Reggie decides to take a stand against Percival but ends up getting kidnapped by his goons along with his father and Kevin. After their first two attempts at the spell fail, Sabrina tells Cheryl about an ability she didn’t know she had.

Riverdale Season 6 Episode 20 Speculation
After spending some time with Sabrina, Nick returns Jughead’s body. Sabrina senses a special ability in Cheryl and implements another plan to bring the dead back to life.
Cheryl uses her Phoenix powers and successfully brings all the victims of Percival’s spell back to life. In addition to that, Cheryl also brings Jason and Polly back to life.
Sabrina warns Cheryl that death doesn’t like to be cheated. Will there be consequences to Cheryl’s decision? How will the gang take down Percival? Stay tuned to find out.

Riverdale Season 6 Episode 18 Recap
The surviving members of the gang have a fake funeral to give Percival a false sense of security. The gang only has 12 hours until they can perform a resurrection ritual and await Sabrina Spellman’s arrival. Kevin tries to leave for New York because he suspects that Percival is plotting revenge against him for his betrayal.
Sabrina finally arrives and the girls update her on the situation. She tells them that the resurrection spell will require a coven of six witches. She instructs Veronica, Betty, and Tabitha to complete a series of tasks for them to officially qualify as witches. Meanwhile, Percival instructs Reggie to execute Kevin in exchange for his father’s good health.
Sabrina attempts to get Jughead to come back to life, but when he refuses, she asks for his consent to let her use his body to bring her boyfriend Nick, back to life. With Nick’s help, they attempt the spell again but the deceased are hesitant to come back because they’re living their ideal lives in heaven.
