Plenty of new and exciting anime made their debuts this year. One of them is The Rising Of The Shield Hero. We already have Hero Of The Sword, The Hero Of The Bow, The Hero Of The Spear and now The Hero Of The Shield. In Hero Of The Shield Iwatani Naofumi is the main protagonist, and the story is based on the Japanese novel of the same name written by Aneko Yusagi.
As we all know that the first season of The Rising Of The Shield Hero has ended and there was much speculation about whether or not there would be a season 2. So, on 1st September 2019, Crunchyroll announced that The Rising Of The Shield Hero is getting a second season. Not only Season 2, but The Rising Of The Shield Hero Season 3 is going to air soon enough too. Although no official date has been announced that is enough to send scores of fans into a tizzy with excitement.
At Crunchyroll Expo, a panel featuring “The Rising of the Shield Hero” creators and talent, including character designer Masahiro Suwa, producer Junichiro Tamura, voice actor Sarah Emi Bridcutt, music producer Hiromitsu Iijima and opening artist MADKID, confirmed that there is more to come.
Shield Hero has had a troublesome time through the series. Since he was never considered a strong candidate, he was easy to manipulate, and circumstances led to Iwatani Naofumi being hated for a crime he never committed. This took a huge toll on him and his confidence. Furthermore, his abilities were unrefined compared to others with matters made worse by a shield which cannot be used as an offensive weapon. So, he had to go through extra hard training in order to increase his “EXP”. He assembled his team with the former slave and demi-human known as Raphtalia. The series itself has been engaging and total edge of your seat viewing since its arrival as an anime series. Naofumi has been portrayed as an underdog in the series and is seen chasing the title of “Cardinal Hero”.
