Re:Zero Special Announcement Scheduled for June 11

Re:Zero’s first season initially aired from April 2016 to September 2016. With 25 episodes, the first season was able to win over many viewers’ hearts with its animation, exciting story, and best girl Rem!

Re:Zero’s YouTube account has scheduled a live stream for June 11, 5:00 am PDT. This will give a “special announcement” about the show’s second season. So set your alarms! I’ll be watching it as well!

The director’s cut edition of the first season, which revealed a critical plot point for season two — Rem is in a coma and has been erased from the memories of everyone except Subaru!

While this is a big shock for the anime-only fans, this broke the hearts of the manga readers a while ago.

The second season was initially supposed to air in April 2020. However, it was postponed to July 2020 due to production issues caused by COVID-19. Fans are already riled up on Twitter, excited for more information about the show’s release date.

The plot is based on Subaru Natsuki, the protagonist who gets sucked into a fantasy world on his way home from the convenience store. He gets attacked by a group of thugs and is beaten to a pulp immediately, but this girl from the fantasy world named Satella saves him.

To return the favor, Subaru helps her find the stolen insignia. They both get murdered by a mysterious force in the end, and Subaru wakes up with his new ability to reverse time upon his death.
