Activision Brings Back Older Maps in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3

There is almost little to nothing known about the third entry of the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare series. Although Activision has been very quiet about the title, we can expect it to be more or less like the previous two titles. These new games are a classic example of reimagining fan-favorite characters in a fresh storyline.

Twitter user @CoD_Perseus posted a couple of screenshots featuring modernized versions of the Terminal and Scrapyard maps from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. The user claimed these to be the first images from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.

The response to this news was composed of both positive and negative replies. Fans were excited to see their favorite locales making a comeback but on the other hand, some felt like this was an opportunity wasted on older locations instead of entirely new maps for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.

Even though some players were disappointed with the maps, they provided some ideas to make the situation better. One user advised Activision to adjust movement speed to bring it in line with other CoD games.

Activision is currently working on a new Havoc mode for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. This will turn players into super soldiers with exciting new abilities and gameplay modifiers. Havoc mode is expected to be released in Season 4 Reloaded or even Season 5.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is still months away, so Activision is unlikely to comment or confirm any of these rumors. However, fans are still excited to see what’s in store with the upcoming title. Hopefully, we will get some official news soon enough.
