Ready for Romantic Chaos? Rent A Girlfriend Volume 23 Arrives October 15

As Kazuya, Ruka, and Chizuru head to Hawaii for a much-needed break, drama ensues at this rollercoaster ride of love and chaos. 

As the tensions rise, Kazuya Kinoshita, the hopeless protagonist of Rent-A-Girlfriend, who has turned the two-way street of love into a roundabout, can woefully prove the saying “love is hard.” 

What started as a desperate attempt by loner Kazuya to hang out with a “girlfriend” has led to toxic relationships, unrequited love, and even more desperation. 

The official website of the publisher Kodansha announced Reiji Miyajima’s Rent-A-Girlfriend manga series would receive its volume 23 on October 15, 2021. 

The English release will be through Kodansha and the French release through Noeve Grafx Publishing.

The Rent-A-Girlfriend manga’s latest issue, volume 20, will be released on April 16th (Friday).

The upcoming volume has Kazuya and Chizuru take an all-paid vacation to Hawaii on the behest of Kazuya’s grandmother, a perfect opportunity for Kazuya to confess his feelings. But all hell breaks loose as Ruka tags along to stop the confession.

For those wondering, Kazuya still rents Chizuru even after 200 chapters; the main couple hasn’t even confessed their feelings. This ship is sailing so slow that Ruka might just overtake it. 

After Rent-A-Girlfriend debuted its anime series in July 2020, the romantic comedy was highly popular with fans and newcomers alike. Kodansha announced season two to follow up in 2022. 

Rent-A-Girlfriend is genuinely a series that will leave you wanting more of its “will they or won’t they?” dynamic. The new volume is gearing up to be yet another love fest, so don’t miss out.

Rent-A-Girlfriend, also known as Kanojo, Okarishimasu, is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Reiji Miyajima. It has been serialized in Kodansha’s Weekly Shōnen Magazine since July 2017 and has been compiled into thirty volumes as of February 2023.

A spinoff manga “Rent-A-(Really Shy!)-Girlfriend” which focuses on the character Sumi is also in serialization since June 21, 2020. An anime television series adaptation by TMS Entertainment premiered in July 2020 in the Animeism block.

Kazuya Kinoshita is dumped by his girlfriend, Mami Nanami, after dating for about a month. He then decides to use an online app to rent a girlfriend named Chizuru Mizuhara, a beautiful and attractive girl.

The story moves on as their lives become complicated and entangled with each other. Later, other girls from the girlfriend business also join in dating and showing interest in Kazuya.
