Kazuya Kinoshita, after breaking up with his girlfriend Mami Nanami within a month, ends up on an online app to rent a girlfriend named Chizuru Mizuhara. Kazuya thus writes her a low rating but gets scolded.

Kazuya even visits his grandmother in the hospital with her and continues renting Chizuru to keep up appearances with his family and friends. Things get complicated as they discover that they are neighbors and attend the same college.

This leads to some girls getting interested in dating Kazuya. His ex-girlfriend Mami is surprised that he found another girlfriend after dumping him. Chizuru, on the other hand, keeps dating Kazuya, so as her skills and ratings as a girlfriend-for-rent increase, unbeknownst to her, she develops feelings for him too.
