Episode 8 Recap
Fran confesses that the Blue Cats deliberately weakened and oppressed the Black Cats over many years. Gyuran, the Blue Cat, describes tormenting and killing Black Cats with joy. Fran feels scared until Shishou reassures her that she is not by herself.
Fran cuts off Gyuran’s limbs and steals his sword before cutting off his head and making a vow that one day Black Cats won’t be afraid of Blue Cats.
She considers killing August as well, but Klimt stops her since he has struck a deal with the man who will permanently put August under house arrest in exchange for a substantial guild fee.
A rank adventurer with elven ears named Amanda first enters and falls head over heels for Fran’s cuteness. She then offers to be her mother, but Fran declines. Amanda starts following Fran around everywhere until she complains to Nell.
Nell then discloses that despite acting like a scary stalker, Amanda operates an orphanage and has earned the title Guardian of Children. If Fran agrees to assist adventurers in locating a spider monster nest in a previously defeated dungeon, Klimt will offer Fran 5 high-level monster crystals.
Fran agrees and is permitted to explore another active dungeon close to Ulmutt hamlet. Shishou consumes the crystals to level back up, but when Amanda insists on going on the mission with them, Fran becomes discouraged. Amanda abruptly attacks Fran
About Reincarnated as a Sword
Also known as TenKen, it is a Japanese light novel series written by Yuu Tanaka and illustrated by Llo. It started as a web novel on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website in October 2015.
The plot revolves around a person who finds himself in another world reincarnated as a sword after dying in the human world. He has no recollection of his name but weirdly remembers everything else from his life as a human. Accepting his fate, he looks for someone who can own him.
A catgirl slave named Fran soon discovers the sword, uses it to kill a two-headed bear, and gives it the name “Teacher”. The duo then embarks on an adventure.
