The previous episode ended with an old man, likely an adventurer, using an unknown technique to discover more about Fran and her sword. In the next episode, we might see who he is and if he manages to learn more about them.
The sword also tells Fran they need armor, so the next episode could include Fran gearing up for her journey as an adventurer.

Episode 2 Recap
At the beginning of the episode, it is revealed that the Beastkin can evolve, and Fran’s parents used to take her on her journey when she was little, but none of the black tribe members managed to evolve themselves.
Fran is devoted to making herself stronger. She kills all the goblins and takes care of her sword, and he pledges to take care of her, too, and make her stronger.
A bunch of goblins are ambushing a cart, and she destroys them, with a special attack. Shishou communicates with her telepathically and tells her not to tell anyone else that he can talk.
The travelers she rescues go to a town called Alessa and ask her to join them so she can protect them. He tells her that strife in the Marou Plains has caused the weaker monsters to come here, and Shishou realizes he caused that.
The traveler tells her that monsters are categorized by the level of danger that they pose. Those who kill them for rewards are known as adventurers. S-rank is the highest, and G-rank is for novices. Fran wants to become one, and he tells her she must register at the Adventurer’s Guild. In a cave, it seems like the goblin rises and becomes stronger.
They reach Alessa. Shishou examines the other swords in the town and is shocked to find out most of them are higher ranked than his. Fran reassures him.
Fran approaches Nell, the receptionist, who tells her that she’ll have to participate in a test that includes a battle. She meets Donadrond, an Oni, the examiner. Shishou tells her he’s her strongest opponent to date.
She dodged most of his attacks and moved to offense. The sword uses earth and fire magic to strengthen her, and she launches a final attack to win.
The guilt master, Klimt, asks her where she learned her skills but she keeps them a secret. Despite using Appraisal to examine her, she’s able to block it. He issues her the guild card. She’s compatible with many classes, proceeds to choose sword mage, and becomes an adventurer.
She sells all the materials and receives a lot of gold worth 1.9 million yen. Other adventurers confront her, call her a thief, and demand she gives the money to them because they think she received it illegally. Nell tells them that’s not the case, only to receive an attack by one of them, but Fran saves her.
She cuts one of their legs, but without using her sword. She attacks the rest of them and wins effortlessly. As they leave, an old man uses Intelligence Weapon on them.
About Reincarnated as a Sword
Also known as TenKen, it is a Japanese light novel series written by Yuu Tanaka and illustrated by Llo. It started as a web novel on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website in October 2015.
The plot revolves around a person who finds himself in another world reincarnated as a sword after dying in the human world. He has no recollection of his name but weirdly remembers everything else from his life as a human. Accepting his fate, he looks for someone who can own him.
A catgirl slave named Fran soon discovers the sword, uses it to kill a two-headed bear, and gives it the name “Teacher”. The duo then embarks on an adventure.
