World Trigger Chapter 240: Release Date, Speculations, Read Online

The squads develop new ideas for the battle sim in chapter 239 of World Trigger, titled “The Away Mission Test Part: 35.”

It was a lengthy chapter with lots of dialogue and discussions. The squads discussed their strategies and concepts while developing new trion soldiers to fit the battle sim for the day.

Most of the squads that were covered in this chapter decided to go for the offensive flying units to tackle the enemies. The focus was more on sending units into the air. Oji, Kuruma, Kakizaki, Mizukami, and Makamura squads developed ideas and models in this chapter.

Here are the latest updates.

Shuji will explain to Yosuke why Suwa’s squad will win the match in chapter 240 of World Trigger.

We didn’t see Suwa’s squad in the previous chapter. All the squads shown in chapter 239 laid out great ideas to work on, but it seems Suwa has an idea and strategy far better than everyone else.

The next chapter will be quite similar to the previous one, with all the detailed planning and technical conversations. Let’s see whether Shuji’s prediction of Suwa’s win will be true or not.

4. Chapter 239 Recap

Ikoma is impressed by Tsuji’s monster design. It looks like a dinosaur. Tsuji explains to him that he gave it a distinct design for the trion soldiers so that they could be distinguished apart.

Tsuji asks Ikoma about his soldier design. Ikoma tells him to skip his design for now and asks Oji about his. Oji has designed a trion soldier that one equips on his shoulder, which autotargets the enemy when exposed.

Hikari tells him that his soldier can’t be used in today’s battle sim. Oji explains to her that it is tough to make something from scratch without any guidelines, and the management just wants to get some unique designs and concepts out of all this.

We move to Kuruma’s squad, where all the members discuss the budget and the designs they want to create. Koala wants to make something that flies, and her teammates help her understand the physics behind it.

After some discussion, she decides to make a flying radar emitter rather than an attacking soldier. Koara helps his teammates understand the need for cheap yet strong units.

In Kakizaki’s squad, Kakizaki is impressed by the elaborate design made by Taichi. His trion soldier can be used for rescue operations on the battlefield. His second creation can be used by snipers to escape from attackers.

His idea behind his creations is to take the trion soldiers back to their original roots. Mizukami tells his squad they can create whatever design they want for the day, as he is confused about where they should start.

After a lengthy discussion on what ideas they should work on, the team decided to go ahead with Kashio and Teruya’s idea for the time being. Katagiri and Sawamura look upon Mizukami from the monitoring room.

Katagiri tells Sawamura that Mizukami has been strategic with his leadership decisions and is approaching his teammates in ways that suit their respective personalities.

Hanzaki tells his team that looking at the day’s battle sims, they could force a draw if they wanted. They will force the enemy to draw the match if they create all their designs in less than 2000.

Looking at it this way, Wakamura thinks they could escape all battle sims without facing any loss. However, Maori tell them that getting draws in all ten matches will only gather 200 points, which won’t benefit them.

Hyuse suggests they can play draw against strong teams, but Wakamura is against this idea as it will be a betrayal against those who have helped them.

Tsukihiko Amo, an S-rank agent, thinks that Wakamura is wasting his squad’s advantage by discussing betrayals and stuff. Hyuse suggests that his squad uses flying units for the offense.

He says that his flying units can boast both firepower and durability. He lays out a detailed plan on how his flying units will work and ensures that they will be able to deal with the enemy’s attacks by their counterstrategy. The squad decides to go with his idea.

Shuji Miwa and Yosuke observe the Wakamura squad. Yosuke thinks anyone out of Utagawa, Kitazoe, Mizukami, and Wakamura might be the winner. Still, Shuji tells him that neither will be the winner, and Suwa’s squad will emerge victorious.
