Denji goes to school in a very dull mood. A boy comes up to him and calls him out for wearing a Chainsaw Man shirt and calls Chainsaw Man, a victimizer who stole Asa Mitaka’s accomplishments.

Another boy shows up, getting angry, thinking they are dissing Chainsaw Man, and lands a punch on Denji. Later, Denji’s teacher scolds him and warns him about suspending him from school.

Denji meets Hirofumi, who exclaims that Denji sent the boy to the hospital. Denji claims that he just broke one tooth of the guy. Hirofumi offers him to skip school and chill as a part of being an ordinary high schooler. 

They both go out to see a movie. There is a dead devil lying near the screen. Hirofumi tells Denji that some devil hunter killed it and goes on saying people don’t need Chainsaw Man anymore.

He stands up as a girl enters the theatre. He tells Denji that a girl in his class wants to have a date with him. So, he takes his leave and lets the girl sit beside Denji.

Denji starts talking to her, saying he is an awesome guy, but right now, he is in a bad mood.

He starts saying random stuff and realizes he wants to be alone. As he is about to tell the girl to leave, he gets shocked and terrified as the girl starts touching him inappropriately. Denji is unable to process what’s happening.

The manga’s plot revolves around Denji, an orphaned boy who has to work as a devil hunter to make a living and pay off his father’s debt.
