Re: Zero is a popular isekai anime where the protagonist gets the short end of the stick along with immortality.
After the release of Season 2 Cour 1 in July, the viewers once again witnessed Subaru use his powers to save his allies and get the brunt of it.
He parts ways with the witches and gets confronted by Roswaal who is disappointed in Subaru. At the very end, Otto checks up on Subaru and tells him not to shoulder his problems alone.
The story will continue in the show’s Second Cour, which is set to air in January 2021.
A teaser for Re:Zero: Starting Life in Another World Season 2 has been released on the Youtube channel of Kadokawa.
The teaser depicts scenes from the past with Subaru suffering through all the deaths and pain he has to endure from the backlash. The PV ends with the scene where Subaru takes Satella’s hand and accepts her.
Previously the channel released character trailers for the protagonists Emilia, Subaru, Ram and Rem.
In Cour 2, it is likely that Emilia will be the one to face the Trials of the tomb and join Subaru on the other side.
But there seems to be a mystery surrounding the Sanctuary’s and Emilia’s past.
While, Emilia is determined to face her past, who is this girl that Subaru needs to save??
About Re: Zero: Starting Life in Another World
The story follows Subaru Natsuki, a homebody who wakes up in a fantasy world on his way home from the convenience store.
Meeting a silver-haired elf named Satella, he decides to help her on her journey to recover a stolen item.
After the two are mysteriously killed, Subaru wakes up to realize that he had gone back to the point when he first entered the world.
Realizing he has a new power called ‘Return by Death,’ which sends him back in time every time he dies, Subaru decides to use this new power to try and make a better life for himself in this world with the mysterious silver-haired elf.
