Epic ‘Re: Monster’ Anime Trailer Reveals April 2024 Premiere

Like any other isekai series, ‘Re: Monster’ focuses on a young man transported into another world to lead a new life but with a little twist. He is born as a goblin, a very hungry one.

Though the series isn’t great, the RPG world setting makes the light novel trendy. Given its compelling narrative and excellent artwork, it makes sense that this light novel is getting an anime adaptation.

A new promotional video and a key visual were unveiled for the ‘Re: Monster’ anime. The anime is scheduled for a release window of April 2024.

As a young Goblin, the protagonist comes to terms with his new reality and struggles to adapt to life in the harsh Goblin community. He learns to battle bizarre and perilous creatures and connects strongly with his fellow Goblin companions.

Chansung, a South Korean boy band 2 PM member, and Japanese hip-hop artist AK-69 collaborate to produce the opening theme song “Into the Fire.”

The series inspired a smartphone game of the same name where players play the goblin role. The game launched on Android and iOS in February 2016.

Fans are thrilled as the newly released trailer and visuals have only heightened the anticipation for the series. With stunning animation and faithful character designs for the original illustrations, we can’t wait to see the story of Goburou and his companions come to life on screen.

About Re: Monster

Re:Monster is a Japanese web novel written by Kanekiru Kogitsune and published by Alphapolis. It was later adapted into a light novel, inspiration for the manga. The manga was licensed by Seven Seas Entertainment in 2016. The series has been green-lit to receive an anime adaptation.

The story focuses on Kanata Tomokui was a powerful human, in his first life that is. Now that he has died, he finds himself reincarnated into the body of a newborn goblin named Rou. The only things left from his previous life are his memories and the ability to eat anything. By doing so Rou absorbs the special abilities of his food. Will this ability be enough to allow him to live in this new world where survival is king?
