Episode 6 of How a Realist Hero Rebuilt the Kingdom season 2 starts with Ludwin bursting into Kazuya’s office to inform him of something terrible.

Ludwin takes him and Liscia to the Maxwell family dungeon, and inside they meet a scientist who wears a lab coat too big for her. Kazuya immediately takes an interest in her, much to Liscia’s annoyance.

To protect national secrets, Kazuya makes her Ludwin’s fiancee, and here we thought she was going to be the third queen. Phew, dodged a bullet there.

Here are the latest updates.

Episode 7 Speculations

Genia invented a device that pushes air in and out that could be used for propulsion in ships. In the end, it’s revealed that she stole dragon bones. Will Kazuya forgive her?

The ending of this episode was in very poor taste as we saw Ludwin repeatedly hit Genia.

You can tell that’s not a friendly exchange or common between them because he only did it after she became his fiance. Will Kazuya let Genia opt-out of this marriage? Would she want to?

Episode 6 Recap

Kazuya talks to Hakuya about some secret strategies and their progress. Hakuya replies that it’s going smoothly, almost too smoothly.

Ludwin bursts into the room to tell Kazuya that his acquaintance has done a crazy/horrible thing.

Ludwin takes Kazuya and Liscia out to meet her, and they arrive at the dungeon, something that people on the Earth would call a garage.

Inside the dungeon lives a mad scientist named Genia Maxwell, a petite girl. She does not behave like she’s supposed to when in the company of royals, but Kazuya finds it endearing.

She invites them in and gives them beverages. She tells them about her work and how her family has discovered a “natural law” at work besides magic.

Her family discovered that gemstones from dungeons could be used for broadcasting to receivers. Kazuya is familiar with the story of the spirits of Sylph and Undine, who make gemstones capable of broadcasting.

Genia tells them that story is a myth and Gemstones could also be used for other things, but it hasn’t been researched yet.

She shows them yet another invention of hers that takes in air and pushes it out and could be used in place of a sea dragon.

The source energy for the contraption is a curse ore that absorbs magical power, so it’s like a rechargeable battery. There’s a massive vein of it, right under their kingdom so that other domains might attack them for their resources.

So Kazuya engages her off to Ludwin, and he immediately hits his fiancee to make her apologize for stealing dragon bones.
