The official website for the anime adaptation of Hajime Kamoshida‘s light novel series, Rascal Does Not Dream (Seishun Buta Yarō), announced that the project will receive a theatrical release.
The website revealed a key visual for the film, depicting Kaede Azusagawa wearing a school uniform and venturing out of her house on a snowy day with an umbrella in hand.
The sequel anime film will adapt the eighth and ninth novels in the series: Rascal Does Not Dream of a Sister Venturing OutandRascal Does Not Dream of a Knapsack Kid.

The story of the film, as described by Crunchyroll, is:
“Puberty syndrome – Abnormal experiences rumored on the internet to be caused by sensitivity and instability during adolescence. This year, Sakuta Azusagawa, a second-year student at a high school near Enoshima, meets several girls that are experiencing this “puberty syndrome.”

The novel series was previously adapted into a television anime that premiered in Japan in October 2018. The original Rascal Does Not Dream film adapts the sixth and seventh volumes of the series and was released in June 2019.
