Rapper Snoop Dogg Drops an A-Bomb & Announces that he’s giving up Smoking!

World-famous weed enthusiast and rapper Snoop Dogg did the unthinkable yesterday- he announced that he is giving up smoking!

The hip-hop star, whose real name is Calvin Broadus, posted on Instagram announcing the unexpected news and requesting his fans to spare him some privacy regarding the fiasco. Read what he had to say:

Some fans couldn’t believe what they saw, while others were more lighthearted and did not try to hide their skepticism in the comment section. 

One comment read,’ Today isn’t April Fool’s Day Snoop.’ This was followed by another Instagram user commenting that the rapper was just switching to ‘edibles’ to give his lungs a break.

People who took his comments seriously responded with a tone of concern. They showed empathy with the superstar and motivated him in his journey to quit the addiction. 

Snoop Dogg and marijuana have been intricately linked with each other since time immemorial. 

The rapper never shied away from openly promoting marijuana and was always seen with a joint between his fingers. 

His first rise to popularity began with his guest appearances in Dr. Dre’s 1992 album, ‘The Chronic.’ The CD art of the album was emblazoned with a marijuana leaf. 

Finally, we are extremely happy that Snoopy has undertaken this initiative to work on himself. Dealing with addiction is very serious and is not something to joke about. Marijuana causes many health adversities and is extremely bad if taken regularly.
