New Winnie The Pooh Horror Movie Details Show Pooh And Piglet Eating Eeyore

Winnie The Pooh: Blood and Honey is an upcoming horror movie, inspired by AA Milne‘s children’s book Winnie-The-Pooh.

Winnie the Pooh became a part of the Disney franchise in 1966 when it was adapted into two short films – Winnie the Pooh and the Honey Tree

The original writer, AA Milne, had based the characters in the series on the toys that his son, Christopher Milne had as a child.

Since then, there have been many adaptations of the characters in movies making them extremely popular among children such as The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh.

Director of Winnie The Pooh: Blood and Honey has revealed the film would include Pooh and Piglet eating Eeyore.

Unlike the bright, charismatic, and warm Pooh and his friends who the audience is used to, the characters and plot will take a very sinister turn in Winnie The Pooh: Blood and Honey.

Rhys Frake-Waterfield, writer and director of the upcoming horror movie has revealed a few plot points in an interview with Dread Central. The director revealed that the movie begins with Pooh and Piglet turning evil after Christopher, now an adult starts neglecting to feed them.

Pooh and Piglet become more and more feral as a result, leading to them eating Eeyore to survive. Eeyore may have been Pooh’s and Piglet’s first victim, but he certainly isn’t the last, since their rampage continues throughout the movie.

Here’s what the director had to say about Eeyore’s death:

Pooh and Piglet experience a drastic drop in food as Christopher grew up. Over the years they became increasingly hungry and feral. They had to resort to eating Eeyore. Then Christopher returns with his wife to introduce her to his old friends. And when that happens, they get enraged when they see them. All of the hatred they’ve built up over the years unleashes and then they go on this rampage. That continues when they end up at this rural house with these girls.

Though the main characters are still Pooh and Piglet, they have no similarities to their Disney counterparts at all. The characters have “massively changed” and have become “really sadistic and twisted”, says the director.

Instead of being caring and friendly, they are sadistic without remorse. Piglet and Pooh taunt their victims mercilessly in several gruesome drawn-out deaths. Piglet and Pooh are once again a team in this story, but Pooh takes on more of a mob boss alpha role while Piglet serves as his trusted henchman.

Although the adaption is based on the original characters and the Disney versions, it has its own unique, grotesque flair and twists. For adults who grew up watching Winnie the Pooh films and TV series or who are slasher fans, the film’s premise is fun with a horror twist.

Viewers will have to wait until the movie is released to judge whether or not Winnie The Pooh: Blood and Honey delivers on its premise.

Winnie The Pooh: Blood and Honey has no confirmed release date yet.
