US Politician Gets in Trouble for Political Parody of Attack on Titan’s OP

Paul Gosar, the Republican representative for Arizona’s 4th congressional district, had posted a parody of Attack on Titan’s first opening sequence on his Twitter.

The video features some of his political adversaries as Titans, like Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who is killed in the video. It also portrays Gosar as Eren Yeager, who is about to swing his weapons at President Joe Biden.

Naturally, it didn’t sit well with several members of the United States Congress, who have called for action against Gosar.

The Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi, has called for investigations by the House Ethics Committee and law enforcement regarding the video.

The parody replaces the show’s title with “Attack of the Immigrants” and features several clips promoting the anti-immigrant agenda.

In response to the backlash, Gosar had issued a statement defending the video as “a symbolic portrayal of a fight over immigration policy” and stated that he does not intend any harm or physical violence against any members of the United States Congress or President Joe Biden.

Although Twitter has since deleted the Tweet containing the parody opening sequence, it can still be found on other accounts on YouTube and Twitter.

Gosar has since doubled down on his stance against the current immigration policies. He has even posted a meme indicating that his previous Tweet has been taken too seriously.

Aside from Gosar, no other Republican congress member has come forward to issue any statement on the matter.
