Police in a Pod Episode 9: Release Date, Speculation, Watch Online

Episode 8 of Police in a Pod starts with a new character called Shikine, sucking up to Minamoto and Yamada. When Fuji yells at him for not doing his work, he tries to pacify her with compliments.

He decides to say things like policewomen should be given desk jobs because the serious officers, who’re men, can’t be expected to protect their female colleagues when things “go down.”

Like running after pedestrians and asking for their license hasn’t been the only thing he’s doing.

Here are the latest updates.

Episode 9 Speculations

When Yamada gives Shikine a dressing down, he’s quick to point out the abuse of power, but he does the same thing with his subordinate because she’s a woman.

Shikine is the kind of useless sexist officer that gets your blood boiling. How dare he insult Fuji, his senior, by saying they should’ve given her a desk job because she was a woman?

I was glad that Fuji put him in his place later, but it’s still frustrating that Minamoto decided to make amends with him.

Enough about that lowlife. We fans are still hoping for a love line between Fuji and Kawai, but it doesn’t seem to be taking off anytime soon.

Episode 8 Recap

Minamoto and Yamada are seen coming back from a crime scene. A police officer called Shikine comes and gives them coffee.

Sergeant Fuji comes over and asks why he isn’t cleaning the station, and Shikine says she doesn’t need to worry, he’s told his junior to clean, and Fuji yells at him because he’s supposed to do it too.

Shikine then says he respects her and talks about how difficult this job is for women. Shikine says women should be given desk jobs because male police officers shouldn’t be expected to protect their women colleagues.

Fuji wants to slap him but stops herself and asks him to take care of Kawai. When out on duty, he keeps asking random people for their licenses. He sees someone littering on the street and asks them for their license.

The guy turns out to be a yakuza member who calls Shikine just a serious kid in a uniform. Shikine asks Kawai to call for backup, and Minamoto and Yamada arrive at the scene.

Fuji tries to stop the fight by saying she understands how they feel, the detectives have punchable faces, and the Fuji would like to stomp on the kid too. The guys need to realize that littering isn’t allowed. The Yakuza listens to her and leaves.

Fuji and Yamada tell Shikine he isn’t on his way to becoming a good cop and probably never will be. The next day, Kawai goes out on patrol with Shikine again, and this time her bully senior from the academy is also with them.

They are called to stop a fight between a woman and a man. Kawai is made to run over there, and then the woman screams that the police are harassing her. Kawai is expected to handle the situation.

Kawai handles it like Fuji would, and the woman stops screaming.

Their boss at the station arrives and spots a concealed weapon the woman was holding and arrests her. Kawai was busy with paperwork for the arrest, and just when she got off, she had to go to assembly again.
