The fan base of Pokemon Go continues to thrive and even grow, thanks to developers Niantic’s proactive efforts to introduce a breath of fresh air now and then to the title in the form of events.

Pokemon Go’s Weather Week event for March begins on March 14th at 10 AM local time and lasts four days until 8 PM local time on March 18th. During the event, players are more likely to encounter Pokemon in the wild in certain weather conditions. Players will also be getting 2x Stardust along with an increased chance to encounter a Shiny Castform.

For example, the Rock-type Pokemon Roggenrola, which has water as a weakness, is more likely to be found when the weather is partly cloudy as a part of the Weather Week event.

Niantic was kind enough to enlist the Pokemon and the weather in which the likelihood of spotting them is increased. The feature Pokemons are Cacnea, who will be spotted more in Sunny weather; Lotad, who will be spotted more in Rainy weather; Snover in Snow; Roggenrola in partly cloudy, Spritzee in Cloudy; Swablu in Windy, and Gastly in Fog.

Paras, Drifloon, Helioptile, Amaura, and rarely, Lickitung can be encountered regardless of the weather conditions. The developers added as a footnote that all these Pokemons could be spotted in the shiny variant if the players are lucky enough.

Poliwhirl, Gastly, Hippopotas, and Amaura can be spotted in one-star raids. Charizard, Lickitung, and Drampa can be spotted during three-star raids. Five Star raids might feature Regice and Mega Raids will feature a Mega Tyranitar.

On completing Field Research Tasks in-game, regardless of the weather conditions, players can encounter Paras, Castform in Normal, Sunny and Rainy, Drifloon, Helioptile, Amaura, and rarely, a Snowy Castform.

This makes the coming week exciting for Pokemon Go players who are promised 2x Stardust and Incense on capturing Pokemons, helping in the grind along with several rare Pokemon.
