Satoshi faced Marnie in the Pokemon World Championship in episode 100 of Pokemon 2019 titled, “Marnie from Spike Town.”
Satoshi has participated in the championship to defeat Dande, the current supreme monarch.
Right now, he is in the 36th position. Marnie, too has her objectives (much better than Satoshi’s) to fulfill. However, we all know who will win even before the fight starts, no matter what happens.
The fight was a predictable one. We saw both the fighters struggling and finding a way to win, but our protagonist came out as the ultimate winner, increasing his position significantly. Marnie, too got want she wanted.

Episode 100 Speculations
Satoshi will train with Mr. Dande in episode 100 of Pokemon 2019 titled, “UpClose! Dande’s Special Training.”
Pokemon 2019 seems to be nearing its end as we see the intense battles and Satoshi quickly climbing the positions. We are going to witness more such battles in the coming episodes.
We see Satoshi spending time with Mr. Dande and Gou enjoying a ride with Sonia. Satoshi wants to see how Dande trains and what he does all day. This will help Satoshi with his training. As for Gou, we can’t tell what he will do in the next episode.
The following episodes will be interesting as we are going to witness the ultimate battles for the anime.

Episode 99 Recap
Satoshi and Gou visit Spike Town in the Galar region, thinking that Satoshi’s next battle in the Pokemon World Championship will occur there. They were led there by Team Yell, who told them that the next fight would not happen in Shoot City.
In Spike Town, they come across a band and ask about the championship. The band is called Spike Gym, and the gym leader is Sorrowful Nezu.
He tells them that Team Yell misguided them and that Satoshi’s next battle is with Marnie, his sister.
Team Yell is revealed to be Marnie’s fan club. Nezu tells them that Marnie is fighting this battle to make Spike Town famous and help revitalize it.
He takes full responsibility for the trouble caused by Team Yell and offers to drop Satoshi at the stadium by his bike.
Marnie is waiting for him in the stadium. Team Yell thinks that if Satoshi cannot come, she will be declared the winner, but Marnie doesn’t want that. Satoshi finally reaches the stadium and apologizes to her for being late.
They begin their battle immediately. Marnie fights with Olonge, and Satoshi chooses Ganger. Both the teams fight aggressively and try their best to get the upper hand.
When Ganger seems to be getting the upper hand, Marnie calls back Olonge and releases its Kyodaimax form.
She starts to get the upper hand, but Ganger bravely resists Olonge’s attacks and counters them. Satoshi finally releases Ganger’s Kyodaimax form, and the two battle hard.
A few moments after Ganger turned into Kyodaimax, Olonge returns to its base form. However, he still keeps fighting the Kyodaimax Ganger.
As he unleashes his final move, Ganger swallows him. He then releases a weakened Olonge. Since Olonge is not responding anymore, Satoshi is declared the winner.
Marnie accepts her defeat but sees that the crowd is cheering and praising Olonge.
Outside the stadium, some members of Team Yell tell her that some people have shown their interest in Spike Town, hence fulfilling Marnie’s wish of getting people to notice her town.
She congratulates Satoshi and tells him that she refuses to give up. They say goodbye and go on their next adventure.
