It’s Time to Warn Batwoman About Season 3’s New Villains

You know what they say: new season, new villains. Now seven episodes in, Bridget Regan will finally make her debut as Poison Ivy in Batwoman season 3, episode 8.

In the teaser, we get a better look at Ivy in her civilian persona, Pamela Isley. In the first shot, she’s holding up a Mardi Gras mask, inviting us to “have some fun.”

There’s another shot of her emerging from the lake, as teased in the Season 2 finale. I’m guessing this is how she’ll be first seen in Batwoman, explaining how she makes her way to Gotham city.

Watch the teaser here:

Regan has been a fan-favorite choice for the role, and I can’t wait to see her play the iconic character, ripe with CW’s addition of surprises. Although we haven’t seen Poison Ivy on screen yet, we’ve felt her presence plenty.

Yes, I’m talking about how Mary has been infected by one of Poison Ivy’s vines, turning her into a bad guy. To make matters worse, Mary has also been liaising with Alice, who is known for nothing but trouble. This has caused quite the dilemma for Ryan!

Batwoman is sure to have her hands full. Besides Ivy, Ryan has to also deal with her half-brother, Marquis Jet, has taken Luke Fox hostage. Eerily, Marquis likens himself to be Ryan’s archenemy, just like Joker is to Batman.

For Ryan, who is desperate to save her friend Mary and has vowed to keep the city safe as Batwoman, season 3 is turning out to be quite chaotic.

But Poison Ivy was not the only villain teased in the Season 2 finale. The ending scene gave us the possibility of the Mad Hatter and Penguin appearing very soon. Now that Ivy is finally making her debut, should we expect the two others to follow suit?

The show started its winter hiatus in late November. Batwoman will return with episode 8 on January 12.

About Batwoman

Batwoman is an American superhero television series developed by Caroline Dries for The CW. Based on the DC Comics character of the same name, it is part of The CW’s Arrowverse stories.

In the aftermath of Batman’s disappearance, Kate Kane must overcome her demons to protect Gotham City by donning the avatar of Batwoman. After Bruce Wayne’s cousin Kate Kane becomes Batwoman in the first season, the series focuses on former convict Ryan Wilder as she protects Gotham City in the role of Batwoman when Kate disappears in the second season.

In the third season, Batwoman continues to keep the streets of Gotham safe while Batwing joins in on the action.
