The sources of leaks for tech and gaming products are wide and varied, often seen via hackers, data miners, and industry insiders. However, gaming storefronts and web stores have inadvertently revealed information in the past, which seems to be the case again.

A PlayStation 5 DualSense V2 Wireless Controller listing appeared on the Best Buy Website in Canada. The interesting fact about this controller is that the V2’s model number differs from the regular DualSense and has an advertised 12-hour battery life despite being at the same price point of CAD 89.99 or USD 68.

While non-PlayStation users might think there’s nothing special about the advertised 12 hours of battery life, hardcore gamers on the PS5 know how bad the battery life on the DualSense controller is.

For button-intensive games like Tekken or Mortal Kombat, it lasts about 3-4 hours, and in the best case for a controller in excellent condition, the battery lasts up to 8-10 hours.

This makes the newly listed V2 Dual Sense controller even more lucrative for players who want to charge their controllers overnight without worrying about it when gaming. Because honestly, no one likes the ugly pop-up mid-game telling us the controller is about to die.

Another important detail that must be remembered is that the Dual Sense V2 listed on the Best Buy website comes with a PS5 Dual Sense charging station. The charging station generally sells separately for USD 29.99.

This sweetens the deal and ensures that players have all the more reason to go for the V2 Dual Sense Controller and do away with the regular version. This aligns with the rumors last year in November when several patents by Sony were leaked, and there was a rumored new Dual Sense Controller amongst them.

Until an official announcement by Sony, we cannot rely on the validity of the information. However, those wishing to purchase the V2 DualSense controller can do so now at the Best Buy Canada website.
