Overwatch 2 Season 5 adds New Skins for Tracer, Reinhardt & More

As the Overwatch community is grieving the cancellation of Hero mode, Blizzard has some interesting new teasers to share for the upcoming Season 5 which is scheduled to launch on June 13th. Fans are more than excited to play the new season which will bring a wave of new content.

Overwatch 2 will be adding new skins for Tracer, Genji the Knight, Orisa the Gryphon, and Reinhardt, who will be joining as an imposing Demon Lord in Season 5.

Players can earn these cosmetics via the reward tracks since the season-themed skins will likely be closely associated with the Battle Pass.

The announcement was well received within the Overwatch 2 community. However, the same cannot be said for Season 5 in general. Now that Hero mode has been dismissed, Blizzard will likely add more content to make up for it.

The theme for Season 5 is “Mischief and Magic”. It will be a while before we truly get to see the benefits of the new directive that Blizzard has chosen to go forward with. The team is currently pushing the PvP aspect of Overwatch 2 according to the road map.

Not much has been revealed about Season 5 other than the new cosmetic skins. Fans are hoping Ana will get a revamped look, something different from her usual getup as a botanist. Hopefully, we will get some more exciting news soon enough.

By the looks of it, Season 5 could potentially be much more than a filler season. Blizzard will also be implementing new balance updates in the new season. However, players should keep in mind that the next season won’t feature a new hero.
