Overwatch 2 postpones the end of Season 9 by a week to April 15th

Overwatch 2 players criticized Blizzard Entertainment’s developers over many issues that plagued the title until they released the massive update at the onset of Season 9.

The developers, Blizzard Entertainment, have postponed the end-date of Season 9 to April 15th, extending it by a week from the initial date of April 6th. With no official announcement, it is confirmed that Season 10 of Overwatch 2 will not arrive before April 16th.

While these dates have not been officially announced yet, players have spotted them in-game. Generally, each season of Overwatch 2 Is around eight weeks long, which brings the end of Season 9 to April 6th.

The primary reason for the excitement surrounding Season 10 of Overwatch 2 is that the developers are adding the first DPS hero since Sojourn. Named Venture, they are an underground explorer.

This happens to be the landmark fortieth playable hero in Overwatch 2. In what is set to be the first of the three, Venture will be the first non-binary character for the title.

Wrecking Ball, a widely loved character from the Overwatch 2 franchise, will also get a slight rework in Season 10. This means players will have two new hero kits to experiment with when the update arrives.

With the recent crossover with popular anime Cowboy Bebop bringing in quite a few skins, fans will be in no rush for Season 10 since it will give them some sweet extra time to complete the battle pass and earn the rewards from Season 9 while it lasts.
