Outriders to Arrive on Xbox Game Pass at Launch, but Not on PC

After a highly successful demo, Outriders has been confirmed to arrive on the popular subscription service, Xbox Game Pass. Amazing, right? However, this availability comes with a big catch.

Microsoft has announced that Outriders will arrive on “Console and Android phones and tablets” through Xbox Game Pass for console and Game Pass Ultimate on April 1. Unfortunately, the game will not be available on Game Pass for PC.

“Starting April 1 (not an April Fool’s joke, I assure you),”

Microsoft

the announcement read,

“Xbox Game Pass for Console and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members can jump into this true genre-hybrid from Square Enix, which combines brutal combat with deep RPG systems.”

Microsoft

When Microsoft mentioned Game Pass Ultimate, it led to widespread confusion as the service covers consoles as well as PC. Later, the giant company clarified the unavailability of Outriders on Game Pass for PC through a tweet.

Despite this disappointment, you can still get your hands on Outriders for PC through Steam and Epic Games Stores on April 1.

Coming back to Xbox Game Pass, it’s absolutely stupendous to see what Microsoft’s doing. Following the acquisition of ZeniMax Media, 20 popular Bethesda titles have joined the ranks of Game Pass.

Given the heights Game Pass is touching, I can’t see how anyone can resist investing in this subscription service.

Now with Outriders arriving, Microsoft is going to tear it apart and give rivals a strong competition. The RPG has hit two million player downloads in just a single week since its launch across all platforms.

Moreover, the developers expect more players to join in on the fun that Outriders offers when it launches on April 1.

About Outriders

Developed by People Can Fly, Outriders is a co-op third-person shooter RPG. It allows for both single-player and multiplayer gameplay.

Outriders will take you to an alien planet called Enoch that humanity is trying to colonize as Earth is no longer sustainable. The human civilization goes to space to look around for a mysterious signal that can help mankind survive.

However, such efforts go off track because the expedition team faced “The Anomaly” Storm. After it ends, you wake up with remarkable abilities and survey those corners of Enoch where danger lurks.
