We have heard many stories where the bodyguards go too far to protect their clients, but it’s only in anime that you will find souls who are brave enough to take it to the next level.
So it came as no surprise to me when Otoboku announced its upcoming OVA, which follows the tale of a similarly brave bodyguard who cross-dresses as a girl to protect his mistress in an all-girl school.
Well, if he doesn’t deserve the bodyguard of the year, then I don’t know who does?
The official website of game developer CaramelBox announced today (September 3) that its “The Maidens Are Falling in Love with Me: Trinkle Stars” game will receive an OVA adaptation that will debut on December 24, 2021.
The game is the third installment in the famous visual novel Otoboku, which follows androgynous male leads who somehow transfers into the all-girls school under funny circumstances.
“The Maidens Are Falling in Love with Me: Trinkle Stars” follows the story of Hisoka Yūki, who is a lifelong bodyguard for Orihime Kasahaya.
To protect his mistress, who recently enrolled in an all-girls boarding school, Hisoka too cross-dresses as a girl to secretly protect Orihime while also hiding the fact that he is a boy.
Director Fumio Ito, known for works such as Tropical-Rouge! Precure is helming the OVA project at Studio EXNOA. At the same time, Misato Tōsaka is penning the script based on the original game.
This upcoming Otoboku OVA is sure to be a hit with the veteran fans of the video game series, so don’t miss out.

It is a Japanese adult visual novel developed by Caramel Box for Windows Pc, Playstation, and PSP. The game has seen multiple spinoffs and sequels over the year, including but not limited to various manga series, anime series, and ONA.
The story follows Chihaya Kisakinomiya, an androgynous male who transfers to an all-female school at the behest of his grandfather’s will. He has to hide his true identity while making friends and helping the girls.
