Ai’s idol group, B Komachi, has disintegrated, and Miyako has shuttered Strawberry Production’s idol unit to focus on internet celebrities instead after her husband falls out of contact. Meanwhile, Ruby has been auditioning to become an idol, unaware that Aqua has been discreetly sabotaging her applications and sending her fake rejection calls, which deeply saddens Ruby.
Aqua could not prevent Ruby from getting scouted by an underground idol group. Miyako chooses to restart Strawberry Production’s idol unit with Ruby as its first member, despite her distrust of the underground idol group’s administration and desires to encourage Ruby’s desire to become an idol.
Meanwhile, Aqua works as director Gotanda’s apprentice but has given up on acting and is satisfied to labor behind the scenes to find his father. Aqua is reminded of Ai’s parting words when Gotanda tells him not to give up on his dreams so easily. Aqua hides that deep down, he wishes to be an actor.

Oshi no Ko is a supernatural crime-solving manga series written by Aka Akasaka and illustrated by Mengo Yokoyari. It has been serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Young Jump since April 2020 and received an anime adaptation in 2023.
The story follows a doctor, Goro, reincarnated as his favorite idol Ai’s kid. Ai names him Aquamarine and his twin sister, a reincarnation of a patient at the hospital, Ruby. Ai is later killed by a stalker who was also responsible for Goro’s death. As Aquamarine swears revenge on the stalker for his mother’s demise, Ruby follows the same path as her mother to become an idol.
