OreGairu Season 3 Announced for Spring 2020

My Youth Romantic Comedy Is Wrong, As I Expected, affectionately known by fans as “OreGairu and Hamachi”, is an anime based off of a Japanese Light Novel series of the same name.

The series follows the story of Hachiman Hikigaya, a realistic teen, who is forced to join a Service Club by his teacher. The viewer base responded positively to the media content. In turn, the creators of the series have announced that a third season is in production.

Release Date:

The return of the series into its third season was initially announced by Tokyo Broadcasting System (TBS) in the Anime Expo 2019. The release date has not yet been announced; however, @anime_oregairu, the official Twitter account for the anime, confirmed that the third season will release in 2020 Spring.

Concerning news for the fans is the official title “My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU: Fin”, which suggests that this may be the last season of the show. With 14 volumes in the light novel, there’s a lot of content which is yet to be animated, which leaves us wondering why the creators have made this decision.

Seeing the positive response from the viewers, an English Dub of the series has also been confirmed, which will be handled by Sentai Filmworks.

Plot:

Written by Wataru Watari and Illustrated by Ponkan8, this story was adapted into a manga thrice. It was picked up for an animated adaptation by Brain’s Base but was animated by Feel Studio in its second season.

This anime is of the slice of life genre featuring the story of the pragmatic highschooler Hachiman Hikigaya. He is forced to be a part of a Service Club by his teacher alongside Yukino Yukinoshita and Yui Yuigahama. Despite having wildly different personalities and beliefs, they offer help to those in need.
