Katsuhisa Minami’s Underrated Series “The Fable” Receives Two New Trailers

“The Fable” is an underrated action series that focuses on the story of a legendary/ genius hitman who takes a sabbatical so as not to kill for a year. 

It turns out to be the most challenging task for our protagonist, as killing is his second nature. The anime adaptation was announced in July 2023, and as the premiere approaches, two new promotional videos have been released.

The 16th issue of Kodansha’s Weekly Young Magazine announced that ALI is performing the opening theme song “Professionalism feat” for ‘The Fable’ series. The anime will premiere on April 6 and air for two continuous cours.

The brief teaser trailer introduces our eccentric main character and his absurd personality. It is followed by the opening theme song, ‘Professionalism feat.’

The second video introduces several secondary characters, and the ending theme song ‘Odd Numbers’ plays in the background. Prajñā” and UmedaCypher are theme song artists.

This anime is a must-watch because it manages to humanize the criminal underworld. Unlike a typical shounen, characters are demarcated as good or bad.

‘The Fable’ is more nuanced and features relatable characters who are morally grey. The show also balances dark tones with humor.  

About The Fable

The Fable is a manga series by Katsuhisa Minami that started serialization on 1st November 2014 in the Weekly Young Magazine.

It has been adapted into a famous live-action series in 2019 that will receive a sequel in 2021.

Fable is an expert hitman who is the best in his field. However, he has killed so many people that his boss tells him to lay low for a while. Within this time, Fable should not kill anyone if he does not want a deadly punishment.

However, living a normal life might be the toughest thing that the hitman has ever done.
