While both Charles and Oliver have their revelations of fatherhood, Mabel embarks upon a mission of her own. She visits Kreps’ boxing gym and eggs him on to give her a clue. The two of them trash-talk each other until Kreps accidentally blurts out some information that gives Mabel a solid lead.
It turns out that Detective Kreps had been working for Cinda Canning all along. Mabel visits her office and confronts her assistant about Cinda. Poppy is visibly scared and asks Mabel to leave. In a shocking reveal, we find out that not only was Cinda trying to frame Mabel all along but that she’s also a fraud since Becky Butler is actually alive and none other than Poppy herself.

Oliver shows up at Charles’ apartment and tries to give him Mrs. Gambolini, the parrot Bunny left for him. As the two of them argue over the cage, they discover an object placed at the bottom of the cage – the real Rose Cooper painting.
Mabel runs into Alice on her way to her apartment, who offers her a peace offering for her past behavior. While Mabel seems to have forgiven her, she makes it clear that the two of them can’t be together. Meanwhile, Charles discovers that the woman that he met at Bunny’s memoria wasn’t actually Leonora Folger.
Oliver lies to his son about being his biological father and later attacks Teddy in the elevator for sleeping with his wife all those years ago. The two of them eventually make up and have a heartfelt conversation about fatherhood.
Charles discovers a hidden message in the watch his father gave him which leads him to the real Rose Cooper. He hands her the real painting and she reveals a secret hidden painting underneath her own.
