One Piece Stampede Ranks #6 on US

One Piece has officially been on air for 20 years. In celebration of the milestone, the series recently released a special episode titled “Romance Dawn”. However, it looks like the creators and especially the producers have another reason to celebrate:

One Piece Stampede earned 413,015 USD in 538 theatres on its opening day and ranked #6 for the day. The film’s per-screen average, 767 USD, was highest in the top 10 for the day.

The film premiered in Japan on the 9th of August and the first three million movie-goers got a bonus One Piece Comic -Kan-Banpaku. It ranked #1 in its opening weekend, selling 356,052 tickets on 429 screens in 352 theatres. It holds the most significant first-day attendance record at the Japanese Box Office (2019). The film has grossed a total of 5,377,145,700 Yen as of September 22.

Luffy and his Straw Hat pirate crew are invited to a massive Pirate Festival that brings many of the most iconic characters from throughout the franchise to participate in the competition with the Straw Hats to find Roger’s treasure.
