  • This break will be from April 1 to April 22, 2024.
  • Chapter 1111 of One Piece will be released later this week as the ‘Egghead Island’ arc slowly reaches its conclusion.

The ‘Egghead Island’ arc in ‘One Piece’ has reached its climactic point and has surpassed expectations, making it one of the best arcs in the entire series. However, fans must exercise patience as the story will take a break before the arc’s conclusion.

Eiichiro Oda announced that the ‘One Piece’ manga will be on a brief hiatus for three weeks. This break will commence from the 18th issue of Weekly Shonen Jump, which will be released on April 1, 2024. However, the manga will return in the magazine’s 21st issue on April 22, 2024.

Oda wrote a handwritten statement explaining the reason for the hiatus. He mentioned that he doesn’t want people to worry about him as he’s not sick, but instead, he wants everyone to consider it as “Oda himself undergoing maintenance.”

After the death of ‘Dragon Ball’ manga creator Akira Toriyama, Oda thought about what ‘One Piece’ is and decided to take some time to contemplate it.

Chapter 1111 of ‘One Piece’ will be released later this week, but after that, fans will have to wait for three weeks before the next chapter’s release. So, it is almost a month before fans can get their hands on the next chapter.

The last chapter saw the arrival of the Five Elders, leaving fans on the edge of their seats, eagerly anticipating what happens next on Egghead. It is evident that the Egghead Island arc is in full swing, and in the coming chapters, it is expected to conclude. The fact that Oda is taking a break indicates that the end is near.

The demise of Toriyama had a profound impact on not only Oda but everyone. Besides that, given the immense pressure that Jump authors face, Oda undoubtedly deserves a break.
