Ever since One Piece Film Red was announced, the staff and creators have surprised us with continuous pleasant news. Since Red is the first One Piece film with a female protagonist, fans’ anticipation was already sky-high.
They topped it off by revealing that Uta is Shanks’ daughter, but it seems like the twists haven’t ended yet.
One Piece Film Red, the 15th film from the franchise, will premiere on August 6, 2022, in Japan. It will be released in the US and other countries at a later date.
Now, let’s jump on to the latest trailer, which has become the talk of the town within minutes of its release.
Uta is shown performing in live music shows like the diva she is. She aims to “make the world happy with songs.” Soon, it is revealed that Luffy and Uta are childhood friends, some shots from when they were toddlers are also shown, and I bet you cooed at the chibi duo.
All of Luffy’s crew members are jealous of him because he is friends with the diva, and both of them seem to get along well. So, what exactly happens between them when the last scene shows them fighting against each other?
A mysterious figure named Gordon knows what happened in the past between them. How did Uta turn to the dark side despite having such a lofty goal of ‘making the world happy’?
Since Uta is a singer, the upcoming film is bound to have gorgeous theme songs. One Piece Film Red will receive seven theme songs in total, all of them by Ado, the cast member of Uta.
With a plot that is making us lose our minds after every trailer drop and a fantastic staff list, One Piece is ready to knock the ball out of the park with its upcoming film. The question here is, can you hold your horses till the release date approaches?
