One Piece Episode 985: Release Date, Speculation, And Watch Online

One Piece Episode 984, titled “Luffy Goes Out of Control?! Sneaking into Kaido’s Banquet!” aired this week.

So far, everyone had arrived at Onigashima. Kin’emon used his Devil Fruit powers to disguise everyone as Kaido’s Gifters. Kin’emon and the samurais showed their resolve and conviction to win this battle and charged forward.

Everyone was in high spirits enjoying the fire festival, unaware of the incoming raid by the samurai. Then, Franky introduced two new toys from the Sunny that will help them in their battle. After that, Luffy and Zoro waltzed into the enemy territory, searching for Kid.

Episode 985 Speculations and Discussions

One Piece Episode 985 is titled “Thinking of Otama! Luffy’s Furious Strike!” 

As we saw, episode 984 ended with Luffy and Zoro being enraged at Kaido and his men for wasting food and looking down on Okobore town and Ebisu Town.

It is not going to be long till both of them lose their cool and go on a rampage against Kaido’s men. 

Since Luffy and Zoro are both part of the Worst Generation, I’m sure someone will catch on to their disguise soon and attack them.

After a long break, we will finally get to see our dynamic duo back in action, kicking everyone’s asses. Hopefully, Kid does not let them steal all the spotlight and joins in on the incoming battle.

No, One Piece is not on break this week. Episode 985 is set to air as scheduled. No delay has been announced.

Recap of Episode 984

Episode 984, titled “Luffy Goes Out of Control?! Sneaking into Kaido’s Banquet!” starts off with Orochi and the others being carefree and enjoying the fire festival, unaware of the incoming raid by the samurais.

Kin’emon signals the start of the raid. The men are divided into three forces, out of which Law takes the Akazaya Nine with him in his submarine and will take them to the back of the island.

Franky informs Luffy that he has two updated inventions that will help them in the battles to come. He introduces the Black Rhino and the Brachio Tank. 

Kid goes on ahead to take on Kaido, not bothering with the plan. He claims that he does not need to team up with anyone and his only goal is to take down Kaido.

Luffy tells Jinbe that he will go on ahead and stop Kid from ruining the plan. Zoro follows him, telling Jinbe that he will look out for Luffy or else things will go south. 

Zoro encounters Kaido’s men who are in high spirits and compels Zoro to drink up. But, as Zoro is about to take a sip, they start badmouthing Ebisu Town and Okobore Town.

Since Zoro has a soft spot for those towns, he cannot control his emotions and almost suffocates a guy by forcing him to gulp all the booze. In the process, he ends up using the Conqueror’s Haki, making some of the guys faint. 

The episode ends with Luffy pissed off at the fact that everyone in Onigashima is wasting food like it’s worth nothing when there are people like Tama who do not get to eat three full meals a day.
