Concerning the preview at the end of episode 976, we shall see Kin’emon and the others charge forward to battle against Kaido, regardless of whether their allies join them or not. 

They will head into this battle with the mindset of ‘Win or Die Trying.’ 

We will see Kin’emon and the others face Kaido’s men at sea while heading to Onigashima. This will be the perfect chance for Luffy and their other allies to show up.

3. Recap of Episode 976

Episode 976, titled “Back to the Present Day! 20 Years Later!” starts off with Toki being killed after sending Momonosuke with Kin’emon, Raizo, Kanjura and Kiku to the future.

Before her death, Toki prophesied the rebellion of the Land of Wano against Orochi and Kaido with the return of the Akazaya Nine in the future.

Everyone else takes this prophecy as a joke, but Orochi actually fears it. He commands his men to bring him the remains of the Akazaya Nine to relieve his stress.

While Kin’emon and the others were sent to the future with Momonosuke, the remainder of the retainers had their own struggles to face. 

A beatdown Ashura looks forward to the day of the prophecy with tears in his eye. The fact that he has to see this country being ruined in every way for the next 20 years saddens him. 

Toki chose Kawamatsu to take care of Hiyori. He tries his best to do so, yet Hiyori runs away from him for his own well-being. 

Denjiro cannot believe that Oden and Toki are killed. While he is going crazy with rage, he undergoes a physical transformation that makes him unrecognizable to everyone.

Denjiro then steps into the capital and is confronted by some hoodlums who try to undermine him. He takes care of them with ease, and from then he starts his own Yakuza family going by the name Kyoshiro.

In this way, Denjiro gets into the inner circle of Orochi and awaits his time to exact his revenge on Orochi. 

Some of the women of Kyoshiro’s brothel bring forward a weak, dirty girl to Kyoshiro. He instantly recognizes her to be Oden’s daughter, Hiyori and takes her into his care after giving her the name Komurasaki. 

The episode ends with a brief recap from the time Kin’emon and the others were sent to the future and became allies with Luffy. Right to the present, where the decisive battle against Kaido and Orochi is about to begin.
