One Piece’s anime is currently exploring the Wano arc. Episode 929 was released on April 19, after which the anime went on a break due to production issues caused by COVID-19. Here is the breakdown of the upcoming episode.
1. Episode 930 Title & Release Date
Episode 930 of One Piece, titled “A Lead Performer! Queen the Plague Emerges!” will be released on June 28, 2020.
2. Series Comeback & Other Announcements
Shortly after episode 929 was released, One Piece’s creators announced that the anime would go on a break. This was because of issues in production caused by COVID-19.
@OPcom_info, the official account for One Piece, tweeted that episode releases will be delayed for a while. The announcement also mentioned that older episodes, starting episode 892, will be broadcast in the One Piece time slot.
In order to give maximum consideration to the spread of new coronavirus infection, we have decided to suspend the broadcasting of the new “One Piece” for the time being.

3. Episode 930 Preview & Speculation
Previously in the anime, we saw scenes of the Udon Prison, where Grandpa Hyo was being tormented by the prison guards.
As the title of the episode – A Lead Performer! Queen the Plague Emerges!, suggests, we will see the introduction of Queen, one of Kaido’s calamities, in the anime. Luffy has been causing quite a ruckus in the prison. Queen will put his foot down to bring order to the place.
In episode 929, we also saw Chopper and Big Mom on their way to Udon. It is going to be interesting to see how Queen handles a Yonko showing up out of nowhere.
